- Alright, near empty pool.
- I'll pick the lane nearest the windows, maybe I can see the trees outside and it will almost be like open water....
- This water is ridiculously warm.
- 300m warm up, 400m stretch, 500m max, 400m, 50m cooldown
- Here we go, Mile Swim, 1650 Meters
- Lap 1, Lap 1, Lap 1
- And Wall
- Let's see if can master the dolphin kick off the wall..
- Nope...
- Lap 2, Lap 2, Lap 2
- Did I just hear the lifeguard whistle?
- Man, I miss open water, no lifeguards, no stupid lane lines, no stripe at the bottom on the pool.
- Stay straight, stay straight
- And Wall
- Ooh Another Swimmer
- Hello, Swimmer.
- Lap 4. Lap 4. Lap 4
- I wonder if I'm faster then you.
- Yup, we're racing.
- Man I haven't sprinted since that triathlon swim class.
- I should probably consider a swim class again, maybe Masters.
- Nah, I'm not a "good enough" swimmer for Master Classes.
- Only 10m to the wall
- And reach before other swimmer.
- I win.
- Only 1400m to go.
- Starting to get hungry
- What should I eat for dinner?
- I'm always starving after a swim.
- Uh oh, are those kids in my lane?
- Oh come on, who let's their children swim into a lap lane.
- Sigh.
- I guess it's better than open water swimming being interrupted by boats, seals, or crazy surf.
- 1000m to go.
- Where I should do my next open water swim?
- Haven't been to Nantasket in awhile.
- Haven't been to Houghton's in a while.
- Hmm.. maybe I'll drive down to Block Island this weekend.
- I'd love to find some more waterfalls..
- Ah remember that waterfall in England
- Or the Cliff Jump in Maine.
- Talk about adventure.
- I should really write a blog post.
- Hmm what about open conciousness.
- Nah.... no one cares what crosses an open water swimmers mind during lap swimming
- Man this is boring
- Crap I lost count.. was that lap 12?
- No idea.
- Oh Hi Swimmer next to me. Nice form.
- And cooldown..
- Man I don't want to end my swim.
