Oh my goodness has it been awhile and by awhile, I mean months since I last wrote. I'm grateful for the blogging hiatus or my blogging sabbatical allowing me to focus on getting into the water as much as humanly possible during the world's hottest summer on record,
Over the Spring and Summer, I found myself swimming and worrying about blog posting in the middle of a swim, detracting from actual swimming that I was loving and focusing on the next great swim spot, disappointed in myself if I ventured to a swim spot where I had already been, or stayed closer to home because it was easier and I could get in the water in 20 minutes.

I absolutely love finding new swim spots but I found myself berating my efforts. So, I took the self imposed pressure off my plate this summer. I cannot wait to share with you how I spent my summer. I headed back to England to celebrate a friend's wedding, the very friend who encouraged me to launch this blog. We explored King's Cross Pond in London and swam in one of the oldest Open Air Lido's in England. I also reacquainted myself with the amazingly Thames River. Closer to home, I got back to Coast Guard Beach on the Cape, amidst concerns of sharks. I also spent quite a bit of time in the chlorine returning to a regular swim routine.

I would be remiss if I didn't at least talk about the amazing Olympic feats (Michael Phelps and Katie Ladecky) and the disappointments (Ryan Lochte).
